Holiday dates to book around

Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 26

Aim for a groom between Monday, November 23 and Wednesday, November 25, so your dog is clean and smells great when guests arrive. Those days go fast, so book now.

Christmas: Friday, December 25

The days right before Christmas fill up fast. If you want your pet ready for holiday photos and Christmas Eve dinner, reserve your slot in early December.

We usually recommend booking about one week ahead; for the holidays, earlier is better. Evening appointments (until 9 PM) always need at least one week's notice and carry a 10% surcharge.

Members book first

Trail Boss (every 2 weeks) and Wrangler (every 4 weeks) members get priority to pick their date and time, holidays included. Members also save up to 15% on every visit, and after 12 paid appointments the 13th is free.

Holiday tips for a calm, happy dog

Brush for a few minutes a day between grooms, especially long or double coats, so mats do not form before the appointment.
Keep turkey bones, chocolate, grapes and raisins, and sweets with xylitol out of reach: they are dangerous for dogs.
If your home will be full of guests, set up a quiet corner where your dog can rest.

When should I book holiday grooming for Thanksgiving or Christmas?

As early as you can. We usually recommend booking a week ahead, but the weeks before Thanksgiving (November 26) and Christmas fill up first. To have your pet looking its best, schedule the groom one to three days before the holiday.

Do members get priority for holiday appointments?

Yes. Trail Boss and Wrangler members get priority to pick their date and time, including during the holiday season.

Do you groom cats for the holidays?

Yes. The Feline Marshal Groom (a gentle waterless bath or wipe-down, brush-out and nail trim) starts at $129 and is done in our van at your home.

Is there a travel fee during the holidays?

No. There is no travel fee anywhere in our service area, during the holidays or the rest of the year.

Do you offer evening appointments?

Yes, until 9 PM. Evening appointments need at least one week's notice and carry a 10% surcharge on the regular service price.
